Own a piece of boulder history! This unique property has had only one owner, Bill and Beth Suitts, and it is where they raised their family and lived for over 50 years. Bill & Beth moved to Colorado by way of Evergreen, as he worked with the Forest Service after WW2 and got his degrees from DU. Bill started Colorado Mortgage Co which focused on residential construction loans in the front range, and some mountain areas. He was responsible for helping many of the original builders of Boulder County begin their careers and for working with the cities of Boulder, Louisville, Lafayette, Longmont, Loveland and Ft. Collins creating affordable housing. Examples are Keewaydin Meadows, the Harper Lake subdivision, Continental View Estates, and Indian Peaks. He also helped start the ski mountain base at Steamboat, making loans when other banks wouldn't. Bill and Beth were responsible for much of the designated open space from the preservation of 170 acres that surrounds Cherryvale and South Boulder Road to riverfront paths in Ft. Collins, to so many parks. One of Beth's contributions was planting hundreds of trees on properties before they became openspace or parks. Bill's family gave the funds needed to rebuild Scott Carpenter Baseball field in the only joint project between the City, school district and a private party. Bill was one of the pioneers of Boulder County and a Hall of Fame inductee due to his work ethics and ideals that everyone should own a home and, for his integrity in all aspects of life. Bill and Beth lived a beautiful life together with humour, laughter, music and hard work and great love for 64 years in this peaceful home, as they dedicated their lives to family, friends and community. We see this home as a time capsule and a landmark; it is apparent in the views, the acreage around and the mature trees. Taking time in and around the property will show you the charm and appeal of owning this unique, exquisite, yet hidden Boulder treasure.
